Course Rules

USGA-style rules, with a few of our own.

Posted for the safety of players and pace of play. Soft-spike facility · shirts & shoes required at all times.

USGA Local Rules

  1. U.S.G.A. stroke play rules govern play, except as modified by local rules.
  2. Winter rules apply.
  3. Small trees — drop 2 club lengths, not closer to the hole. No penalty.
  4. Out of bounds defined by white stakes. Ball replayed from previous shot.
  5. Red stakes define lateral hazards. Drop ball 2 lengths in line of flight, not closer to hole. (Penalty: 1 stroke.)
  6. Drop area on #7 in front of water hazard.
  7. All carts and players must stay out of property bordering the golf course.

Local Rules

  1. Each golfer must have own clubs and bag.
  2. Replace divots on fairways and roughs. Repair all ball marks on greens.
  3. No more than four players per group unless authorized by clubhouse.
  4. Play one ball only.
  5. Keep all carts on cart paths and 30 feet from greens.
  6. No private coolers — all beverages must be provided by the club.
  7. Players must cooperate with course patrol.
  8. Allow faster players to play through.
  9. Players use the golf course at own risk.
  10. You must be 18 to operate a motorized cart.
  11. Each player must have receipt of payment on the course. Rangers may ask.
Please note. If you fail to observe the rules, Hickory Hills Golf Course reserves the right to eject you from the course and deny continued use of our facility. Fees will not be refunded.
Ducks have right of way. And they know it. Please be patient on #4 and #12.
